What is IBI Therapy?

Intensive Behaviour Intervention (IBI) Therapy uses the principles of ABA for the treatment of children on the autism spectrum with a higher intensity level. IBI programs typically involve 20-40 hours per week of one-to-one treatment in your home. An IBI program is designed specifically for your child based around your schedule. Our comprehensive IBI program focuses on developing skills in all the following domains: behaviour planning, social skills, language and communication skills, academic skills, play skills, self-help skills, and fine and gross motor skills.

How is IBI applied in Autism Therapy?

Our therapy program is designed to assess each child’s needs. We work alongside each parent and build a personalized plan to help their child learn the skills that they need. A continuous reassessment schedule and frequent all staff meetings with parents help ensure that the plan addresses each child’s individual needs at any stage in their lives.

The curriculum in our program combines decades of research and years of experience in the field of Intensive Behavior Intervention. Click on the links below for more information on some of the key elements of our IBI therapy program.
